Using the Lily Auction Image Uploader:

The Lily Auction Image Uploader is very easy to use and should only take a few seconds. There is no charge for Image Uploading.

In order to have a thumbnail displayed in the lists, you must upload at least one image. The thumbnail will be automatically created from the first image that you upload. If you use your own Image URL's and choose not to upload an image, you will not be able to have thumbnails in the lists.

1) Image files must be no larger than 100K. If your image file is larger than 100k, you will need to reduce the size. This can be done without reducing the dimensions of the image picture by using a good Image Optimizer. There are many Optimizers available, Photoshop, Corel, etc.

Here is an easy to use online program that can both crop your images and OPTIMIZE the image to a manageable file-size without making the actual appearance of the image too small:

2) Image must be either jpg, gif or jpeg format.
3) Images must be uploaded before you fill out the Add New Item form or you will lose all information posted before the image is uploaded.
4) If you have an image file with a space in the filename (eg:"my pic.jpg'), you must first re-name it using the _underscore character as a replacement for the space (eg: 'my_pic.jpg") before proceeding with the upload. The uploader will not accept a space in the image file name.
5) To upload an image, click the "Browse" button, then select the image file from your computer drive, and click "Open". This will place the image URL into the  field of the Image Uploader. Now click the " Upload" button and this will start the Image Upload and Thumbnail creation process.
6) When the image has been successfully uploaded, you will see the URL(s) appear in the corresponding imageURL field of the form. Also, the thumbnail will appear in the form.

Please note: The image will last 190 days from when you uploaded it. If you repost an auction the image will expire 190 days from when you first posted the item. If you do not see your image thumbnail in the "Add New Item' form when re-posting an item, then you should always re-upload the image to make sure that it does not expire during your auction period.
