The Lily Auction is pleased to support benefit auctions for victims of natural catastrophes, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.

When we do this, you may select the 'special benefit' category (which is listed by the name of the catastrophe) when you list your item and  there will be no listing or closing fees charged to the seller. However, the following requirements must be met:

1) 100% of all funds raised in said items must go to a recognized charitable organization (red cross, etc) or to a specific known victim. Sellers must state in their auction descriptions that 100% of the winnings will go to the organization or victim and also state who the organization or victim is.

IF YOU WISH TO DONATE ONLY A PARTIAL PERCENTAGE TO THE CHARITY OR VICTIM DO NOT USE THIS SPECIAL CATEGORY.  Instead, please use the regular auction categories for partial percentage donations.

2) Shipping fees, if any, are paid by the buyer and may be either donated to the cause or kept by the seller. The seller may not, however, deduct any shipping fees from the actual winning bid amount, 100% of which must go to the charitable organization or victim.

3) After completion of benefit auctions, in this special category, sellers agree that if asked, they will provide to the Lily Auction Auctioneer, proof of payment to the stated charitable organization or victim. Proof would be in the form of a copy of cancelled checks, money orders, or paypal receipts made out to the charitable organization or victim along with the contact information of the organization or victim (please find the Lily Auction address in your seller's account). 

4) If you decide to list charitable auctions in this category, please check back often here as more rules and/or information may be added.
