Sanibel Sunrise (Blood Fire x Drowning In Desire) (Lady of Madrid x Streetcar Named Desire) Sev. 6.5 - 7” fl. 26” sc. M 20 buds. Who ever expected such a beautiful color from red breeding? Streetcar Named Desire is out of Moment in the Sun, so I guess the genes, like the stars, all lined up to create magic. These large beautiful orange to gold flowers glow in the garden. They also epitomize perfect form, with extremely wide, overlapped petals. The flowers also have very heavy substance. The petal edges are extremely ruffled, with tightly crimped gold edges and looping angel wings. Because of its clarity of color, extremely heavy substance and beautiful form, I have taken these flowers back into my red lines, as well as my pastels, with wonderful results. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are in the process of redoing our beds for next year. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting daylilies from each of these beds that have been in the ground for around 1 year or more. This plant is from Bed K. We are planning on redoing this bed in October. This means that your plant will be shipped during the second or third week of October. If you need before, please let us know. Shipping is 12.00 for first plant and 2.00 thereafter. Many of these daylilies are 50-75% off retail (in garden) price 😊! We are a licensed-inspected garden.
