(Benz) tet26" M. Sev (Christmas Candy X Warrior King)
This gorgeous 5" candy apple red is the first in a series of intense green throated reds resulting from crossing my closely related lines together. The reds from Tetra CHRISTMAS IS are the most color saturated I have seen, and are all hard dormant. The reds from my induced seedling W-29 are much larger, with more perfectly flat form and are all semi-evergreen in habit. Tet. W-29 is an extremely wide, 7" clear red from (When I Dream X Whatley's “J-29”: a huge 8" red from HOMEWARD BOUND), and is much like a bigger wider petaled BIG APPLE, only evergreen. Both lines have incredible color and brilliant green throats and every introduction from Tetra CHRISTMAS IS and also from Tetra W-29 possess wonderful scapes and branching. The converted parents are both from Yancey breeding and related through CHERRY FESTIVAL. The foundation of both these lines on the pod side is my ED MARSHALL and its offspring. In DRAGON PRINCE, we see the culmination of nearly 30 years of breeding for a deep ruby red with round form and an enormous all day green throat. The intensity and depth of color seen here goes beyond any of my f-1 introductions from either line. Substance is like heavy plastic and the green throat holds all day here in full sun. 3-4 way branching displays 22-25 of these ruby red blooms to perfection. Fertile both ways. . FALL ONLY $200.00
