A rare and superior Benz dormant. A single fan to be shipped from my Utah garden at the buyer’s convenience any time after May 1. John picture and description. JULY RHAPSODY (Benz) tet 28" M. Dor. (Warrior King X Scarlett) From two of our favorite reds comes this magnificent circular beauty. This sultry rich ruby red surpasses both parents for clarity, substance and perfection of form. JULY RHAPSODY is 5.5" in diameter, with 3.5" petals and smooth waxen sunfast texture. The large fluorescent green throat is far and away the most vivid shade of green I've seen in any red daylily. Always open flat to gently reflexed by dawn, despite nights in the 40s. Both parents are hardy evergreens; but in this f-2 cross combining genetics from ED MARSHALL on both sides, plants are large, blue-green and hard-dormant. Scapes are thick and strong with 3 lateral branches, a terminal, and a bud-count that can soar as high as 30. A rare combination of superlative qualities that makes JULY RHAPSODY a top favorite and one of our most used reds to date. Fertile both ways and proving a wonderful parent
