Beachlands  DOUBLE FAN (Tet. Lavender Blue Baby x Mardi Gras Ball) (Blue Dragon) Sev. 4.5" fl. 29" sc. M. 15-20 buds. Excellent rust resistance. Fertile both ways. This is another introduction from Jamie Gossard's Blue Dragon, combining Tet. Crystal Blue Persuasion and Tet. In The Navy, with the genetics of Tet. Lavender Blue Baby. I initially crossed Tet. LBB with Mardi Gras Ball because I wanted to push the blue violet eye around the petal edges, and introduce the complexity of multiple petal edge colors and gold edges into my blue eyed lines. Beachlands brings together all of these incredible genetics into one flower. The petal self is a soft cream, and at the center of the flower is a dark green heart. The eye of the flower is made up of several shades of violet, with touches of charcoal and blue. It is surrounded by a burgundy mascara band. The eye continues around the ruffled petal edges as a double, burgundy and blue violet edge. The patterned eye is also mimicked on the sepals, adding an extra level of intrigue.
