This is one tough plant! I imported it from Israel several years ago (couldn't find it here). It took almost three weeks to get here as it got tied up in customs. Imagine my horror when I opened the box and found two pieces of crown and roots that were white as a ghost- not a speck of color, no green & not even any yellow. And the customs guys had wrapped them in plastic so there was a lot of mold and some mush. I trimmed off the bad spots and potted them. Put them in deep shade and very gradually over several weeks brought them out into the sun. They made a full recovery and never looked back! Within two years I was able to divide it. Marianne Joordensfrom Canada got a piece from mine. The first photo is in my garden in the heat & dryness. The second photo is in Marianne's garden. Same plant, different climate.

Plant will be freshly dug from a state-inspected and licensed garden. Rust and leaf miner free. Leaf streak has been a problem here as well as thrip. I do not use any chemicals in my garden as it is home to many small creatures. I have not imported any plants for about 5 years now.
