DOCTOR HANDSOME (Davisson, 2013) 4Fan Clump!

Tetraploid. This handsome 8" upward facing crispate bloom is an unusual shade of "bittersweet" orange with a vivid yellow diamond dusted watermark that is "heart" shaped and feathered. Gentle ruffling on the petal tips add backside interest (see scape photo). Scapes are 43" with ideal 4 and 5 way branching, 27 buds which start blooming early midseason and continues thru late season. Hardy, dormant plant habit with flawless, dark green arching foliage. A clean color like no other...very distinctive and hard to describe...with subtle coral tones and a pink blush in the watermark on cool days. Who says you shouldn't cross orange with pink!! All plants are grown in my 7B zone Delaware garden within a couple miles of the Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. My soil is a nice blend of sand, clay and organic matter. I try to offer at least DF or TF however I do specify in the description the size fan to expect.
