We lost a tree, and now I have full sun where there was shade; which is why I am making these available. This is my FAVORITE medium sized hosta.
HALCYON is one of the strongest if not the strongest of hosta. It is the ancestor of several sports, and is one of the bluest hosta. Thick leaves are truly slug proof. The petioles are thick and strong as is the leaf itself. The flower stems stand about 28". In order to retain the blue color in hosta, you cannot plant them in any sun other than early morning.
Did you know the flowers are not only loved by bees, but is an important food source for hummingbirds?
