Don't believe the Alt-perennial news that daylilies are past their prime as good garden flowers---or that they are hard to grow from seeds. NOT TRUE! FAKE NEWS!! There is always a place for the right daylily to fill in your flower border. They are still pretty low maintenance plants that beat out the annual chore of replanting that comes from plants of that "annual" designation. As to starting from seed--piece of cake! One can start them in flats under lights, or plant them directly in the ground around the time of last frost. And nothing beats the THRILL of seeing your seedlings bloom for the first (or second, for that matter) time. Here are some low cost, high quality crosses to make that a real floral political event!
