Nearly one third of my daylilies are TET Spiders, UF"s, or others that do not fit the standard categories, yet only one fifth or less of the seeds produced each year are in this category. They are very hard to deal with. A few produce as well as the full-formed. Most are finicky--they will give seed crossed with the right parent---but crossed to any other--Not! Some are just sterile, or nearly so. It is for that reason there are not that many to choose from. I have made some crosses whose seedlings are easier to work with than the named cv.'s that I have. In the coming years you will see more seeds made from them. Here are this past year's crop. It is a bit smaller than previous years. It was a banner year for the full forms, but the TET Spiders, and UF's, did not perform as well---go figure.

You will have to do some homework using the American Hemerocallis Society Database, and the All Things Plants Daylily Database run by The National Gardening Association (easy to find with Google) to research the crosses to see if they meet your needs. It will be well worth your effort.
