Thank you so very much for checking out the 2015 Daredevil Daylily Seeds offerings!
Pod parent: OCTARINE (Michaels 2012 intro registered in 2011) 35" M DOR EMO "Octarine" is the name for the color of magic, visible only to wizards and cats, in the Disc World novels by Terry Prachett, and this 6" daylily is all about color. Purple with a cream to green throat, it displays a deeper eye that becomes considerably darker when the weather turns chilly. A sibling to NINA NINA WOLVERINA with 2 laterals and 22-25 buds, it clumps quickly and is very pod and moderately pollen fertile. A diploid that makes narrowish fans. (DALLAS STAR Seedling 2-12 X PURPLE CORN DANCER).
Pollen parent: TURTLE WHISKERS (Michaels 2014 introduction registered in 2013) M 38" DOR this 7-8" warm pink with warm rose eye and cream midribs over lime throat has a Spider ratio from 4.2:1 to 5.14:1. Bud count averages 18 per scape with 1-2 lateral branches and it rebloomed in both 2010, 2011 and 2012 under drought conditions. I find the color combo quite appealing and it was the top in-garden seller this year. A difficult but doable pod parent with good pollen, it makes considerably narrow fans. (FLAMINGO LIPSTICK X SKINWALKER).
