AUCTION IS FOR 5 SEEDS FROM THE CROSS OF RANDY STEPHENS X BITES LIKE A THOUSAND TEETH.
6”, sev, rec, TET – Sib to last year’s Iwanna Piranha, this is another must have breeder for teeth. But not just teeth, it also has frilly silver tentacles as well. We have been most excited to see both of these qualities in one cultivar. Seedlings have shown white and gold toothy edges, silver and gold tentacle edges, and various combinations of the two. Another long-time family friend Randy Stephens of Hazel Green, Alabama, picked out this cranberry-red. Randy really knows his daylilies!! Scapes are a lofty 32” and very well branched, carrying up to 26 buds. Extremely fertile, both pod and pollen. Winner of the “Achievement Metal” in the Central Florida Show 2007.
RANDY STEPHENS HAS PROVEN TO BE AN OUTSTANDING PARENT FOR TOOTHY EDGES.
BITES LIKE A THOUSAND TEETH
TET (Bass Gibson x Red Friday) Ev. EM Re. 29" scapes, 6.5" flowers, 3 way branching, 20 buds. Fertile both ways.
We first saw the image of BLATT in Nicole's presentation at the Pensacola Daylily meeting in March of 2013. In May of 2013 we saw it in Nicole's garden and immediately went on the waiting list for it. After its first season here I have no regrets. I think it looks better in Illinois than it did in Florida. It bloomed two sets of scapes after being planted in April and I cut out the third set.
