White Tooth (Peat, J. '09)

Sev., Fr., M., Re., 38 in. sc.; 6.5 - 7 in. fl., 5 way branching with 30 buds. This clean colored purple flower has a fantastic dark black-purple eyezone and one-quarter inch picotee edge. A lighter purple eyezone is clearly shown on the sepals. The darker ruffled picotee edge is always surrounded by large white pointy teeth. These teeth can often be found on the sepals when the humidity is higher, but there are always a few teeth present on the sepals. Fertile both ways. Tetraploid 31" Mid Late season Dormantemo fr 8-9" 3-4 way branching 18-22 buds. Fertile both ways. Strong Rebloomer.

Flowers of Larry's Twilight Bite are cranberry purple with a darker wine red eye zone. Sepals and petals are edged in claws, fangs, teeth, and tentacles. The color of the teeth can vary depending upon position. They can be gold, green, and white. Has a yellow green throat. And it is a dormant. Has a lot of eyed daylilies in its background. Great parent for hybridizing for patterned eyes and teeth which are also patterned. When I lined it out in September it was still sending up rebloom scapes. A super garden and hybridizing daylily. It starts blooming mid late season and can go all the way until frost.
