SHARYN LIANNE is named for one of Karen’s closest friends in Australia and this gorgeous hot pink rose self is a big, big flower. White and gold ruffled edging, a defined water mark, rich green throat, and extra heavy substance. Like all of my introductions, SHARYN LIANNE opens perfectly every bloom and is a hybridizers dream. Easily Fertile both ways.

This shimmering 5" black daylily is my finest black so far. When I first bloomed NIGHT FLYER from just 5 seeds, I was amazed to realize the dominance of the color "black." But then again, nearly every black in commerce came from purple parents and every one of my best "blacks" were the fortuitous result of crossing for violet purple. So I decided to use the pollen of PAINT IT BLACK on all the other dark purples and blacks due to its superior form, branching and color…and also its deep green throat. When I bloomed all these crosses using PAINT IT BLACK with CARBON DATING, BLACK ACE, DARK EMPIRE, EBONY VELVET and IRON LORD, I was overwhelmed by just how heavy and sunfast these were. Although only a handful surpass their parents in plant habit and flower form, they are the "next generation" in "black." INDIGO VELVET resembles parent EBONY VELVET in basic form and plant structure, but the similarity stops there. INDIGO VELVET is about the same color as PAINT IT BLACK in the morning, but after a day in full sun, when ALL blacks have faded to purple or even brown, INDIGO VELVET is still nearly jet-black. Superb branching with 3-4 laterals and about 30 buds as well as instant rebloom make INDIGO VELVET an outstanding garden subject. A big blue green hard dormant which is fertile both ways. At the end of a hot day, INDIGO VELVET will not only be the best black in your garden, it will be the ONLY black. SOLD OUT.
