Pod parent: LENNON SPEX (Michaels 2013 introduction registered in 2012) M 31"DOR 4" with 2 laterals and 20-25 buds, this round and ruffled yellow cream sports a shaded and patterned red violet eye that displays more colors and waves in the pattern the colder it gets. Cute, and a great pod and pollen fertile bridge plant for larger patterned and ruffled diploids. The name is the title of a glorious short story, one of my top 10, by Paul DiFilippo about a guy who puts on the glasses John Lennon was wearing when he was shot. Makes average sized fans. Seedling SCDDMV-11 [(SILOAM CINDERELLA x DRAGON DREAMS) X MAUDE'S VALENTINE].
Pollen parent: MVMLSTTBIG17-20 (unregistered) this 7” ruffled pink reverse bitone with red violet eye broken by multiple chevrons first bloomed in 2017 on 28’ scapes with 11 buds. Every bloom had similar patterning. I considered the patterning significant enough to use its pollen on just about everything. [(MAUDE’S VALENTINE x MILITARY SCHOOL) X (TOOKY TOOKY BIRD x INSTANT GRAFFITI)].
