Pod parent: PLATYPUS PAM (Michaels 2008) M 36" DOR 9" (11-12" wingspan) apricot and pink reverse bitone with dusted rose eye over large chartreuse to green throat. Selected by Pam Hoffman and named for her, it is a curling, twisting and cascading Variable Crispate Unusual Form with up to 3 laterals, 33 buds and very strong scapes. A pod and pollen fertile diploid that passes its strong scapes and budcount, it is a sibling to CHEAP QUILLS. Makes average sized fans. (WILSON SPIDER X PRETZEL LOGIC).
Pollen parent: EL3RD-1 (unregistered) 32” M Dor 8” or so (13” wingspan) yellow with a dusted rose eye on all tepals and a green throat. Selected in hot and dry 2016 because it was majorly curly and, hurray, it was just as curly in the much cooler and wetter of 2017. Bud count has only reached 11 so far, but I do suspect that will increase once the plant is established. Might be the curliest seedling in the garden to date. Rebloomed in 2017 and is being observed for possible future introduction. (EVERYTHING LOUDER X THIRD ACT).
Goals: Very curly Unusual Forms.
