Pod parent: CAPULINA (Craig 1962) EM (much later here in western NY) 38" SEV this 7" buff-throated garnet spider with a 5.8:1 ratio was rediscovered after a lengthy quest by Ned Roberts. Pod parent of IKTOMI, HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL, WAY TO SANTE FE, BOOGIE MY WOOGIE, CHARON THE FERRYMAN and SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING; pollen of AMETHYST SQUID, DANCING SPIDER and GIANT KRAKEN; grandmother of ORCHID SPANGLES and grandfather of both YIN and YANG.
Pollen parent: DS270C1BLC3RD-1 (unregistered) 36” M DOR 16” wingspan (when it bloomed during the extreme drought of 2016, it was just ˝” smaller but with the record amount of rain in 2017, it was back to 16”). Curling pink 6.8:1—7:1 Spider with large, deeper halo over a yellow to green throat. Very strong scapes held on high laterals under a terminal Y and 25 buds. Still only 2 fans but both bloomed. Goals: Way larger and a bit skinnier and darker.
The seeds have been air dried for 1-3 days before being refrigerated. Please store them in your fridge until ready to plant.
