Pod parent: BUZZQUILL (Michaels 2014 introduction registered in 2013) was my favorite diploid 2009 selection. It has quilling, it has curling, it has wonderful light lavender rose coloring with prominent veins and a light blue violet eye and that eye is narrowly etched in fuchsia. The 42” upright scapes produce 2-3 lateral branches and 18-34 buds. DOR. Bloom size is 7-8" depending on recurve and it's very fertile either way. A diploid Crispate Unusual Form that produces narrow to average sized fans. (FLUID DYNAMICS X ROSEMARY WHITACRE).
Pollen parent: NNWSH11BLPMOM-3 (unregistered) 38” M DOR 7” (10˝” wingspan) deep cream 4.45:1 Spider with a purple eyezone over a chartreuse throat. Lots of movement with sepals that twist and quill while the petals curl. Quite fragrant, too. Moved to the selected bed in August, 2016, a terminal Y and one lateral holding 16 buds was produced on each of its 2 scapes. Definitely being observed for possible introduction due to the wonderful movement. [(NINA NINA WOLVERINA x SCISSORHANDS) X [(BLACK PASSION x MONSTER MAGIC)].
