Pod parent: TTBWKTM3-23 (unregistered) 34” Mre SEV 5˝ The pattern on this magenta star (with a russet cast in very hot weather) caught my eye when it first bloomed in 2016 with its multiple white waves but especially the white fingernail etched darker purple on the sepals. I moved it to the selected bed in August despite it being only top branched in hopes that, with a bit of water (completely lacking in the seedling bed throughout that summer) and space to spread out its roots, it might improve in stature and branching. It got lots of water the following year, too much in fact, and sat in a puddle for months on end. By 2018, it produced scapes with one lateral, a terminal Y and 18 buds and then rebloomed 2 more times. The “fingernail” pattern on the sepals, has so far not shown up again, but the genetics are there. {TOOKY TOOKY BIRD X [(WILSON SPIDER x KINDLY LIGHT) x TOMORROW’S SONG] x MILITARY SCHOOL}.
Pollen parent: TTBIG –17 (unregistered) 32” M SEV on the DOR side 7˝ - 8” apricot cream with multiple rippled purple eye. This was the holy moly moment of the 2015 seedling season here. First bloomed in 2015 with only 6 buds, but each bloom had 4-6 purple waves! Quickly moved to the selected bed where it proved itself to be a most worthy plant that held its pattern, throughout the extreme heat and drought of both 2016 and 2018. Scapes sport one lateral under a TW with 27 buds. It even reblooms, and it’s fragrant, too! A probable 2020 intro, every bloom displayed pattern despite the extreme heat and drought in 2018.
