In 2019, Brad Best made some seeds available from a patch of F1 seedlings that came from a cross of Michael's Sword (Best) and Akialoa (Mahieu). All of the seedlings had bearded genetics from Michael's Sword. The seedlings were bee pollinated and the resulting seeds collected by Brad. The seeds from the bee pods therefore had a very high probability of bearded genetics, but it was unlikely that they would express much bearding but rather carry the trait.

I purchased hundreds of these seeds in an effort to get a wide variety of seedlings carrying bearded genetics, multiple colors and forms to work with in my breading program. Pic 1 is a photo of the seedlings that bloomed for me for the 1st time this year from those seeds. There are many colors and forms. There are dark pigmented scapes. There are are stippled colors. Virtually all of the seedling were extra early blooming.

I decided to cross these seedlings with the best bearded pollen I had. I did hundreds of pollinations using Templar Sword (upper left photo), Believe (upper right photo), Unknown Soldier (lower left photo) and a new exciting seedling of mine (lower right photo). All pollinations used one of these 4 premium bearded donors. All unpollinated blooms were removed.

As a result the seeds offered here represent a wide variety of colors and forms as the pod parent most likely carrying but not expressing bearded genetics, and one of the 4 mentioned premium bearded plants as the pollen parent. Individual crosses were not recorded. I am hoping from some amazing kids from these seeds.
