We mix our own soil, including alfalfa, bone meal, blood meal and WORM CASTINGS. We feed primarily with Miracle Grow with minors and SEAWEED CONCENTRATE. We do not force our plants. We use good old California sunshine, water and nutrients. We rely heavily on organic products for insect and disease control---we have LADYBUGS, GREEN LACEWINGS AND PRAYING MANTIS on patrol for us.

Sale notes from John Benz: “an easy-to-use fully converted tetraploid version of Clark Yancey's beautiful CHRISTMAS IS. An incredible parent, producing my BRIGHT CHRISTMAS and CHRISTMAS CANDY (more to come, Oscie Whatley's THREE DIAMONDS, SLIGO and KWAN YIN, and Jeff Salter's SULTAN'S WARRIOR, which was used to produce OUTBACK RED, the parent of most of the beautiful 6" reds of Jack Carpenter. Whatley's SLIGO is grandparent of BEAR CLAWS, and KWAN YIN produced MOHICAN CHIEF, which he considered his best red. CHRISTMAS IS was introduced for the high impact green throat, which to this day remains proportionately the largest and most intense green throat in any deep red daylily. Even though TET. CHRISTMAS IS is only a 4.5 inch bloom on a small scape with no branching, it throws a surpisingly high percentage of large flowers and plants. Every introduction from TET. CHRISTMAS IS has good to excellent branching. I bloomed just one seed from a cross of (IMPERIAL DECREE X TET. CHRISTMAS IS) and it was a 6" royal purple with a huge green throat.
