|Leprechaun's Curls |
(Marchant, 2012) Diploid, DOR, EM, 31" Tall, 6" Blossom, 31 Buds on 6 Branches,Reblooms.
Neon yellow with a glowing green throat.
This flower is hard to get an accurate photo of. For starters, the brilliant golden yellow is impossible to reproduce. And then, it only looks like a "normal" daylily early in the day--by noon, all the segments have curled straight back--no twisting, more like an extreme recurve. Mind you, I normally am not fond of recurved flowers, but nothing is lost on this one is since it is a self (all one color). Hard to describe the flatness of the face...you'll just have to grow it and see for yourself!
You are bidding on a healthy, blooming size TWO FANS.
All photos are of our plants, taken in our garden, and have not been enhanced in any way.
We use USPS Priority Mail, and generally ship our plants the next day after digging. Our plants are soaked in a weak bleach solution, and then rinsed and air dried prior to shipping.
We generally do Spring shipping during April and May; Fall shipping in August and September. Both schedules depend on Mother Nature’s mood, our time available and your preference.
We always include a bonus, but many factors come into play when determining what the bonus will be. If you have a preference, let us know and we will try to accommodate your wishes.
We garden in Zone 5B/6A. Plants shipped early in the spring will be just coming out of dormancy, and will not have put out all their foliage yet—the roots may be bigger than the foliage. This means less work for the plant to recover after digging and shipping, and faster clumping for you. Plants shipped in the fall will have all the old ratty foliage removed, with only new growth shipped. Most daylilies go through a natural cycle of shedding old foliage after blooming anyway, and we don’t like putting “ugly” foliage in the mail!
We are happy to combine orders to save you money on shipping, so be sure to check out our other auctions!
