John R. Pike (Doorakian, 2004) 4 fans height 32 in.(81 cm), bloom 6.25 in.(16 cm), season M, Dormant, Diploid, 26 buds, 4 branches, Unusual Form Crispate-Spatulate, Registered as Polymerous 80%; in my experience it is less than that, but a beautiful UF either way.
Our gardens are in Michigan, and our fans are not going to be as large as those of southern or greenhouse growers, but they are healthy and have good root systems. Bonus: Rust is not a problem in our zone 5 gardens! And anything we list has probably survived at least one brutal Michigan winter, so if you live in the north, hardiness should not be a concern. We don’t use BAP, nor do we own a greenhouse. Pendergriff South is a state licensed and inspected nursery.
Shipping and handling is $15 for the first plant and $1 for each additional FAN (not plant, FAN). In other words, a single fan added to your order is an additional $1, a double fan $2, a triple fan $3, and so on. We will consider whichever purchase has the most fans to be your first plant. We insure for the entire value of your plants including the cost of postage. We ship by priority mail, and only to the continental United States. Sorry, but we do not ship plants internationally.
PayPal is preferred, but we also accept personal checks and money orders. Please keep your payments current even if you are still bidding, as sellers have to pay their fees up front as auctions are listed and as they close. If you wish us to hold items to combine shipping, please let us know when submitting payment--and please include your Lily Auction ID when paying, so we can post the payment to the proper person.
We usually will not start spring shipping until May, date depending on weather. Because we are in the north, the plants need a little time to start rowing, and our average last frost date is in mid-May. If you need earlier shipping, please do not bid. Please also realize that we are not capable of digging and shipping all of our orders on the same date; have patience, we can only dig them so fast! It is generally mid-June before we finish up. We do not combine seeds with plants for shipping purposes, and we do not ship spring wins with fall ones as they ship from 2 different places.
