Cinnamon Faces
(Sattelmeier 2014)
25-555F Early midseason. Evergreen. Crispate-Cascade. Fringed Shangra La x Tusk 7 inch blooms. Early mid season bloomer on about 32 inch scapes. I was surprised to see some of the blooms with little red hooks on the blooms not as many as I would like but this is a good start to get red hooks in daylilies. This red hook beauty is one that i really liked and is pod and pollen fertile. It also sports doubling aleast 50% of the time. The first year it was totally double then the second year I thought i had the wrong plant as it start off single but to my surprise the doubling came back after a few blooms. On rebloom scapes most or all will be double or the were for me. 12 buds may be more when established well. I think my original thought when making this cross was to get a start to making toothy double spiders which i am still working on. Makes a very interesting bloom and looks good single or double. Single blooms have measured over 9" sometimes. Very fast to increase. Pod and pollen fertile.
