Ruby Spider

Ruby Spider (Stamile, 1991) -- (Velvet Widow × Tet. Open Hearth) Height 34", bloom size 9", early season, Dormant Tet. Gigantic, dark ruby red flower with long, spoon-shaped petals open very wide and flat displaying the large, golden yellow throat and matching midribs. Not technically a true spider, but a great flower. This vigorous MULTIPLE AWARD WINNER (AHS: AM 2002; HM 1999; LAA 2011; L/W 2002; PC 2004) is a must for every gardener! Double fans.

Burr Oak Daylilies lists our fall offerings about August 1, and Spring offerings about January 15. Winter store items are for spring shipping.

Shipping is $10 for first two items (item = double fans unless otherwise stated), + $2 for each additional item. Payment for shipping is capped at $15 for orders of $50 or more, and shipping is free for orders of $100 or more.

Will ship after May 15, 2020 and before Oct. 1 at your convenience. All lilies come with a wrap tag and an indelible pot stick identifier.

Burr Oak Daylilies specializes in season extending and unusual-form day lilies. We have now registered several of our own cultivars, and will offer some of those on the Lily Auction this spring if they do not sell out locally. In the meantime we have a wide range of day lilies to offer from the extensive array we acquired for pollen and pod parentage. An important part of our stock comes from Hickory Hill Gardens, the late Clayton Burkey's site, which specialized in unusual forms. We have most of Clayton's many award winners, exceptional cultivars, and classic lilies. At present we are offering these parental lilies of exceptional characteristics at good prices.

Our lilies are guaranteed to be healthy, strong, and to satisfy, or a refund or replacement at our expense will be issued. Lilies are shipped bare root. They are cleaned and treated in accord with shipping practices to California.
