From (Breaking the rules X texas big bend).  32” scapes with 4 branches and 25 buds display 5.5” flowers, Tet, EV, late.

When the fire glows at night, the wood chunks develop a central bright orange glow surrounded by a darker orange while the outer edge becomes a white ash.  The petals and sepals of this day lily mimics those colors while reminding me of a melting orange ice cream popsicle.  The yellow gold throat is present on the sepals as well and fades to ash colored daggers on the mid-ridge of each petal.  The edge bears several ruffles and flutes encompassing both the white ash and orange regions while dark orange veins are present on both petals and sepals.  Pod and pollen fertile.
