A thousand words and a picture cannot adequately describe the impact of this flower in the late garden! It's HUGE, it's brilliant, it calls to you from across the garden when most every other daylily is spent.
You are bidding on a healthy, blooming size THREE FANS.
PLEASE NOTE: We have experienced rust in our garden in three out of the last nine years. Although our winters are cold enough to eliminate it, our inventory turns over constantly and it could come in on a new plant. If you are concerned about rust, please do not bid on our auctions.
All photos are of our plants, taken in our garden, and have not been enhanced in any way.
We use USPS Priority Mail, and generally ship our plants the next day after digging. Our plants are soaked in a weak bleach solution, and then rinsed and air dried prior to shipping.
We generally do Spring shipping during April and May; Fall shipping in September and October. Both schedules depend on Mother Nature’s mood, our time available and your preference.
We always include a bonus. If you have a preference, let us know and we will try to accommodate your wishes.
We garden in Zone 5B/6A. Plants shipped early in the spring will be just coming out of dormancy, and will not have put out all their foliage yet—the roots may be bigger than the foliage. This means less work for the plant to recover after digging and shipping, and faster clumping for you. Plants shipped in the fall will have all the old ratty foliage removed, with only new growth shipped. Most daylilies go through a natural cycle of shedding old foliage after blooming anyway, and we don’t like putting “ugly” foliage in the mail!
We are happy to combine orders to save you money on shipping, so be sure to check out our other auctions!
