Flowers of In The Clouds are golden yellow with a golden yellow throat and eyezone. This is my second tallest yellow todate, extremely rare to have such a tall yellow. I believe in zone 6 and 7 it may be another foot and a half taller. From past experience I have found this to be true. Could reach over 80 inches there. As a seedling, In The Clouds scapes were straight with no leaning. We have very high winds across are property due to lack of trees. Such makes for a super testing of the tall daylilies. Sets pods and pollen is easy. A very important parent for hybridizing tall yellows with great color and form. Take a look at the pedigree, it has tetra skinwalker, merged with the Tet. Nutmeg Elf × Tet. Itsy Bitsy Spider genes. In The Clouds is an outstanding garden cultivar, with great curbside appeal. It is a super daylily when planted in and around the tall grasses. Also great in front or behind fences. I planted it in the middle of my bed as you can see from my photo below.
