(April LaQuinta x Lilly King) (Diana Culbertson x Lady Alvatine). Dor. to Sev. 7" fl. 24" sc. M 20 buds. Excellent to good rust resistance. Fertile both ways. Plants go completely dormant in cold winters, and are heavy rebloomers, blooming for 4 months in Florida. I like large, showy flowers, and the blooms of Lonesome Diva are massive! Not only are the blooms so large, the petals are also extremely wide and deeply ruffled, with the deep scalloped ruffling going nearly to the midrib. The ruffling is often deeply folded and crimped with a gold to chartreuse edge. The self color is a coral to mango pink. Add to this that this is another of this year's dormant introductions that are strong vigorous growers in Florida. The flowers of Lonesome Diva are so huge and voluptuous, they create a grand presence in the garden that stops visitors in their tracks.

Please note that we have had rust in years past but none since a small amount in 2012. Winter weather has consistently done away with it in our garden without spraying. We strive to use organic practices whenever possible so we have chosen not to spray for rust. We never ship rusty plants and will gladly refund your purchase if you are at all dissatisfied.

We always send a bonus which is usually an additional fan of your purchase if we can afford it. We are state inspected and licensed, but we are primarily a small family garden selling our excess.
