SPUTNIK, Davisson J., 2019, Double fan A beautiful sculpted bloom! The hybridizer's photo and description follow: SPUTNIK lights up the early season with 8" gently pleated bi-tone blooms that are purple with a lighter lilac purple watermark and sepals. The diamond dusted patternedapplique throat often dots out onto the petals. Instantrebloom extends the bloom well into the mid-season where summer heat makes petals gracefully twist and turn. Sturdyscapes are 35 inches with 4-way branching and 18 buds. SPUTNIK is a hard dormant with pretty blue green foliage that is easily fertile both ways. A complex heritage from two seedlings: (ANGELUS BLUE SKIES x MICHAELDAVISSON) X ((WIND IN THE RIGGING x STILL THE ONE)) x HIGH WATER MARK.Tetraploid. All plants are grown in my 7B zone Delaware garden within a couple miles of the Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. My soil is a nice blend of sand, clay and organic matter. I try to offer at least DF or TF however I do specify in the description the size fan to expect. Please pay within 5 days of auction close. I accept checks and PayPal. Please note your bidder alias with payment. Spring shipping is generally late April to early May. Shipping is through USPS Priority Mail - $15 for first plant plus $2 for each additional plant. Standard LA return policy applies - if not full satisfied with your purchase you may request replacement or return your purchase within 48 hours for a full refund.
