BIG FROSTY

�(Benz) tet 36" M. Dor (Princess Bride X Silver Surfer)

BIG FROSTY is certainly the finest �white� daylily I've introduced. From a fortuitous and hard won cross of my two best near-whites, this 6 1/2" beauty with its 4-inch wide petals, surpasses both its parents for size, width, and refinement. I was surprised at the overall quality in this cross and repeated it time and again. Some of the sibs were bigger, some wider and some more ruffled, but 4 years and dozens of seedlings later, BIG FROSTY remains my absolute favorite. Flat open by dawn, despite heavy substance and ultra-wide form; and actually appears more beautiful and closer to white at the end of a hot summer day. Foliage is large, arching and blue-green in color, and BIG FROSTY is more vigorous than either parent. Scapes are tall and straight, but only display 2 laterals and a total of 15-18 buds. An easy parent both ways-far easier than its parents, and I've used BIG FROSTY more than all my previous near-whites combined. First kids are exciting and many exhibit the beautiful scapes and branching of PRINCESS BRIDE and SILVER SURFER. The BIG FROSTY kids are among the largest and strongest in the seedling beds, and I will make a lot more seed this summer. Oh�fragrant and REBLOOMS ��$200.00
