BLUE HIPPO
(Lambertson) TET 6" Sev EM Re 26"
HYBRIDIZER’S DESCRIPTION:
(Suddenly Blue Seedling X Infinite Blue Seedling)
BLUE HIPPO’s name was inspired by an ancient Egyptian blue-glazed ceramic hippopotamus. BLUE HIPPO is a paragon in the large medium blue eyed and edged category. BLUE HIPPO is a large cream with a huge medium blue eye and edge. The crackly outer edge is gold. Completing this marvelous composition is a beautiful green throat. When BLUE HIPPO reblooms, the flower seems to get even larger along with its eye and edge which turn to a light blue. Great plant habits with 3 to 4-way branching, displaying 25 buds per scape to perfection. Fertile both ways. Super wow kids!

JANE TRIMMER
(Dan Trimmer, 2002). Tetraploid (Gillian x Sabine Baur) 25” EM Re Ev 5 ¼” This pale lavender bloom with the biggest, boldest black purple eye I have yet seen was selected by my wife, Jane, to carry her namesake. An equally bold dark edge surrounds the round full petals. Jane often has 4 lateral branches and up to 35 or 40 buds. Fertile both ways, and an excellent parent, I’m happy to add Jane is a superb grower and increaser. I have to thank both Jeff and Elizabeth Salter for providing all the parents in Jane’s background. I’m hoping to see red eyes and edges next year in the seedling patch since Gillian, the pod parent of Jane is directly out of Elizabeth Salter’s red eyed, Dragon’s Eye.

CROSSES ARE LISTED AS POD X POLLEN. I WILL TELL IF I SHOW THE PIC IN REVERSE ORDER.
I AM SHIPPING INTERNATIONALLY TO THOSE WHO CAN RECEIVE SEEDS. $7 for 10 wins (I give lots of bonus seeds). U.S. SHIP IS $3 FOR 10 WINS. This includes lots of bonuses.
I LOVE HYBRIDIZING ...and have no room to plant many seeds since I have moved to California. So I have bought the plants I loved for BLUE, PATTERNS, BLACKS, AND TENDRILS..and am crossing them with some of my selected seedlings (hopefully to be introduced in the near future.)
I hope you will have some fun buying some packets of unusual combinations of color and pattern and winning a Stout Medal..or at least having the excitement of that first bloom.
I will be using my own photos when possible (of course, all seedlings will be my photos). Should I inadvertently put up a photo I have copied from the web and it is yours, let me know..I will give you credit or change it.
All seeds are 2014 seeds and will be shipped immediately after payment. Seeds vary in size and wrinkling, this does not affect their ability to germinate.
Seeds were air dried for 1-2 days, passed the "squeeze" test for viability and have been refrigerated for at least 2 weeks in zip sealed bags.
PAYPAL is preferred, but checks and money orders will be accepted. Payment to be received in 7 days, unless notified. Seeds will be mailed in bubble envelopes once payment is received. To combine wins just let me know. Postage is $3.00 for the first win, with no additional charge for up to 10 wins, if won in a two week period and shipped together.
