Note to bidders...... why do I frequently use my seedlings in my crosses, rather than 2 named cultivars??? Because I am a hybridizer. I do not want to make crosses that another hybridizer has probably attempted. I find my seedlings make seed readily...where some named are more finicky. I would rather see the results of a cross with genetic uniqueness ... than the same crosses that everyone else is doing. The results in my seedling beds this past summer, knocked me off my feet. I never expected such success. I expect this to ramp up every year. I have a very difficult time releasing these seeds.. since every cross has meaning and merit... to a hybridizer such as myself. But I love sharing and cannot start them all. I encourage you to explore a cross that intrigues you. Big name x Big name does not mean better seedlings. I bring in some of the most exciting new genetics every year from great hybridizers... to tweek my program. No one is perfect... AND we want to get the best seedlings we can and explore all NEW possibilities...... I hope you will give some of these crosses a try... Let me know how you do :) I am lowering prices on my own seedling crosses.. to give you the opportunity to try some of them...Enjoy!!
Kraken ( Marchant-Conway)( top photo)

( Dragon Fang x Veto) ( Conway sdlg)( photo at end of very hot day)
5 seeds, bonus
Kraken's name has been approved and it is waiting for AHS publication to be final. I was proving fertility for this great DFxVeto seedling and Kraken was a great choice. Want to add the frothy toothy edge to Kraken and retain that dark contrast. Both cultivars performed beautifully here.. Looking for great kids. I can't wait for next year already when both daylilies will have another year of maturity under their belts. Enjoy this unique genetic combination :)

The winter of 2014-15 was another cold one. Another late spring had us on pins and needles, waiting for our great daylilies to show up again. It should be a good year for seeds. That being said, I remind you of my mantra... I hybridize for myself first and I am glad to share via the auction. I am not in this to make big $$.... but every penny helps me pursue my dreams :)
This year produced a BANNER number of unique and exciting seedlings, especially in patterns. I will be sharing seeds from these seedlings on the auction as that is what I like to do. You and I will be able to explore these genetics simultaneously. I added more daylilies to my gene pool from my favorite hybridizers I thank Guy and Karen Pierce, Tom Polston, Jim and James Townsend, the Lambertsons, Mary Gaskins, Nicole Devito, Dan and Jane Trimmer, Karol Emmerich, Barry Matthie for sharing their best with me. Lesser known hybridizers supplied me with some of their genetics as well... so we hope to offer you some of these seed crosses. Watch for glowing descriptions and photos of these beauties.
We sincerely thank all who support our auctions. Hopefully you will enjoy our offerings this fall and winter.
Thank you!
