THISTLES AND THORNS TET 67404 {[(Lifting Me Higher x Fortune`s Dearest) x (Forbidden Desires x Tet Lavender Blue Baby)] x (Filled to Overflowing x Heartbeat of Heaven)}, 30� (range of 24�-32�, depending on type of soil where it is planted), M, Sev, fr, Re (MN instant rebloom on most fans) 6�, 5-way (3 laterals plus a V, with range of 4-6 way), 30 buds (with range of 20-40). Violet purple with lavender watermark and edge plus white sharks teeth and a yellow to green throat. An AMAZINGLY consistent flower in terms of the bloom, scape, rebloom, performance the summer after planting. One of my very best. Pretty, flawless blooms on every scape every day. The 1st and 4th pictures are on its sharkiest day; pictures 2 and 3 are more typical days. (Note: it won�t shark much if highs don�t get out of the 60�s and low 70�s; otherwise not an issue). Holds great in heat and sun. Good opener. Fertile both ways with sharky kids.Good reports from its test in Cleveland where it was setting pods in high heat.

SUPER REDHAWK is proving an extraordinary parent, and the seedlings from (Shabby Chic X Super Redhawk) that bloomed 3 years ago convinced me I had not used this powerhouse near enough. I was amazed that every seedling had shark's teeth and about half of them are introductory quality. They ranged from deepest red to bright rose pink and most were superior in color to their parents. SON OF HAWK has proven the best and most vigorous of these, and is the only one I'm using in my teeth program. SON OF HAWK is 5.5" in diameter; stands 34" tall, and is heavy and sunfast, with bright clear red color, green throat, and lavishly embellished white to chartreuse green teeth. Plants are medium large healthy blue-green DORMANT. Straight, strong scapes with 4-way branching and about 30 buds, which are held up and out-providing a great visual display. Heavy and sunfast and always perfect; but the teeth are larger in hot weather. Extremely fertile both ways, and inherits wonderful branching, fertility, rebloom and overall plant habit from both parents. An easy parent both ways and pollen is among the most potent of all the daylilies I grow. I'm hybridizing heavily with this beautiful daylily and will see hundreds of its sdlgs over the next couple of years. Fragrant and an excellent re-bloomer......SOLD OUT
