Ev. 5 �� I had no idea several years ago when Matthew Kaskel guested a seedling he garden named �Best Edge� what a treasure I had. Being a guest plant I am still unable to sell �Best Edge� but by self pollinating �Best Edge� I produced an offspring that looks remarkably like its parent (Clean lavender pink with a large gold edge) and breeds at least as well, but with greater vigor, taller scape and improved fertility. Garden visitors talked me into introducing PRISCILLA�S SMILE with only a few dozen plants so except for those we will hold back for spring 2008 collections we quickly SOLD OUT in the garden. FULL OF TREASURE is a rich pink lavender with a vibrant green throat and a lettuce green edge 2-3 shades darker than Angels Gather Around. It was the most used pod parent of 2010, with 80% of the pollen used from the best teeth breeding. My goal here at Graceland Gardens is to have pure pinks and pink lavenders with green teeth. I have a gut feeling this could be reached in the first generation, but it could take 2-3 generations. I was very pleased with the number of selective seedlings from" FULL OF TREASURE" in 2010.

OUR SEEDS WERE PRODUCED IN OUR GARDEN. THEY WILL HAVE BEEN IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS WHEN THIS AUCTION CLOSES. WHILE WE RECOGNIZE THERE ARE MANY POSITIVE REASONS FOR GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION, WE LIKE TO KNOW THAT AT LEAST ONE PARENT IS HARDY HERE IN ZONE 5. THIS IS A POSITIVE THAT EVEN MANY OF OUR FRIENDS ON THE GULF COAST VALUE AFTER LAST WINTER.
