HOME OF THE FREE is the first true red Graceland Gardens has ever released. I was never interested in breeding reds until I saw Scarlet Angel of Ted Petit's. I was so impressed with the deep depth of color Ted was kind enough to share one bloom. I bloomed 300 seedlings the following year out of the one bloom and the rest is history.HOME OF THE FREE is the closest to a true Christmas red of anything we've ever bloomed.My good friend Bill Waldrop has test grown HOME OF THE FREE in Marietta, GA and it has done very well. In fact the seedling below it, is Bill Waldrop's seedling out of HOME OF THE FREE , and a bit embarrassing when my friend Bill out breeds me with my own flower, lol. HOME OF THE FREE is a very strong grower and in South Alabama repeat scapes 3-4 times a season.

You’ve gotta love it when your Cobra is smiling. OK, this is the first, and certainly one of the best Tetra Rose F Kennedy introductions. Keep in mind my conversion is very fertile, and sets pods so I luckily have bloomed tens of thousands of new kids every year now for some 4 years. What that means I am selecting the best, from the best, etc. and it’s all about the green. If it’s not REALLY GREEN it gets tossed. So I give to you SMILING COBRA. Large, tall, and branched like a tree – Even fragrant! SMILING COBRA is fertile both ways and sets pods. My plants have not been baped and so will not be pod sterile. Very, Very Limited.
