RANDY STEPHENS 6", sev, rec, TET - Sib to last year's Iwanna Piranha, this is another must have breeder for teeth. But not just teeth, it also has frilly silver tentacles as well. We have been most excited to see both of these qualities in one cultivar. Seedlings have shown white and gold toothy edges, silver and gold tentacle edges, and various combinations of the two. Another long-time family friend Randy Stephens of Hazel Green, Alabama, picked out this cranberry-red. Randy really knows his daylilies!! Scapes are a lofty 32" and very well branched, carrying up to 26 buds. Extremely fertile, both pod and pollen. Winner of the "Achievement Metal" in the Central Florida Show 2007. RANDY HAS BEEN HERE SINCE INTRODUCTION WHICH MEANS THAT HE HAS SURVIVED A BUNCH OF NASTY ZONE 5 WINTERS. IT ALSO MEANS THAT WE FEEL IT IS AN IMPORTANT PARENT. |
