These are my final seed offerings for the season. Thank you, everyone! May your gardens be filled with new friendships and flowers this coming summer.
Pod parent: NNWMLDSKN-11 (unregistered) L 39” DOR 7” (9” wingspan) A 2018 introduction is planned for this purple curling Cascade Unusual Form primarily due to late bloom season and its branching of a terminal Y and 3-5 laterals producing 30-48 buds. While it is EMO even in cooler weather, the anthers open much later, preserving the unfurling tepals from pollen smudging and the pollen from dew. Passes curling to its kids. [(NINA NINA WOLVERINA x MOON LADDER) X SKINWALKER].
Pollen parent: BANSHEE CRADLESONG (Michaels 2013 introduction registered in 2012) M-ML 44" DOR 6½" (11½" wingspan) 6.2-6.3125:1 cascading spider. An apricot pink blend with rose violet eye over a large golden yellow throat. Increases much faster than its notoriously slow father. I hesitated registering this because, while it has very strong wiry scapes (doesn't even lean, much less flop), it only has one lateral and 16 buds. When I queried the Pittsburgh Iris and Daylily Society in early 2011, however, they said register it. Perhaps they were being kind, but I have loved this seedling since day one (I used to call it the most beautiful spider I've seen) and have a number of selections from it. Fertile both ways, it’s the pollen parent of MIMI’S BANNER, STARFISH ENTERPRISE and WIZARD DELUXE. Makes skinny fans that are occasionally variegated with white. Seedling BWHWB-18. (BANSHEE WHISPER X WILLIE BELLE).
Goals: True spiders, hopefully with great bud counts and maybe a few late seasoners.
The seeds have been air dried for 1-3 days before being refrigerated. Please store them in your fridge until ready to plant.
Due to the prolonged extreme drought and record heat this year, there will be significantly fewer offerings. Bonus seeds for prompt contact and payment will usually consist of additional seeds of the same cross.
DOMESTIC: Unless prior arrangements have been made, payment is expected within 10 days of the close of this auction. Please include $3.00 postage for up to 10 crosses. New York state residents, please add 8% sales tax. Check, money order and PayPal are accepted.
INTERNATIONAL: Shipping only to countries that do not require phytosanitary inspections. It is the bidder’s responsibility to obtain any import permits their country requires. Regrettably, I can't replace seeds shipped internationally that are lost in the mail. PayPal or checks drawn on US accounts are accepted. Please note: you must be a certified daylily fanatic to accept the following postage costs:
To Canada: $9.00.
Other countries: $13.00
MANY THANKS FOR LOOKING!
