WE WILL BE UNABLE TO SHIP OR COMMUNICATE WITH BUYERS FROM OCTOBER 19-NOVEMBER 2. AUCTION IS FOR 5 SEEDS FROM THE CROSS OFDENTAL ACADEMY X ARMY OF ONE.
POD PARENT HYBRIDIZER'S DESCRIPTION: When I made a cross between Forestlake Ragamuffin and Holy Guacamole a few years ago, I only produced one pod with just a few seeds. The sibs weren't too exciting, but I sure hit the jackpot with this one. Dental Academy is one of the few I have grown that produces consistently toothy blossoms in my cool weather, the teeth appearing during temps in the low 50's and by the time the nights are in the high 50s, the teeth only improve. It does take a bit of time to open during the day, as it isn't an EMO, but they open well from the first flowers right on to the last. Best of all, this one produces great branching here, even though the scapes start to form when nights are cold (see pic). Dental Academy has been a real hybridizing workhorse for me, as well, as it is extremely fertile both pollen and pods. I do have a few pods abort from time to time, but get so many seeds, I hardly know what to do with them. I sure look forward to lots of its kids blooming for the first time this year.
