Pod parent: ALWAYS SOMETHING* (Michaels 2017) M 37” DOR TET 6” pink with violet shaded triangular eye etched in fuchsia over a yellow to lime throat. But... but it’s not a Spider nor even an Unusual Form! Why? It’s the scapes that are making me do it. Each has a terminal Y and 2-3 laterals with up to 36 buds and there’s often 2 scapes per fan, making it impressive in a clump. And it clumps up rapidly, too. Blooms open early and are both pod and pollen fertile. (END TO VIOLETS X CONFECTIONATELY YOURS).
Pollen parent: LUNARIAN LAMBORGHINI* (Michaels 2017) I grew over 115 of this TET cross, 99.999% of which were in shades of purple. This 7½” very pale pink with deeper halo over a chartreuse throat fades to near white shortly after opening. Usually presenting with quilled sepals, blooms open early and stay open late, appearing on 40” scapes with a terminal Y and 2-4 laterals and 25-35 buds. Yep, it looks like something Bob Schwarz would have made but now that he’s out of the game, I think continuing his look is a worthy pursuit. SEV. Fertile both ways, it makes average sized fans. Seedling GLXJKSRSUBO-115 {[GALAXY RANGER x (JOHN KARL SEAGER x RED SUSPENDERS)] X BLUSHING OCTOPUS}.
