These are seeds from crosses made in the greenhouse this season. This is our 19th year of selling seeds on the auction, with over 16,000 positive feed backs.
We try to treat our customers the way we would like to be treated. I hear often that other sellers will blame you if the seeds they sold you do not germinate. You will never receive that kind of treatment from us.Please let me know if you ever have a problem with anything you purchase from us. This includes poor germination. We stand behind everything we sell and want you to be happy with your purchase!
We test the soil regularly to be sure the plants can produce seeds of the highest quality. Please note that seeds can vary a great deal in appearance. Some are larger. Diploid seeds are usually smaller. Some seeds wrinkle more than others.
The results of the union of two cultivars is surprising at times. There is no guarantee of any trait in one of the parents passing on to the first generation of the offspring. In other words--you may not get broken color, toothy, or patterned seedlings from seeds with one or both parents exhibiting these traits in the first generation. But then--you might get a seedling that does, and one that is something really special. We have sold many seeds that have become introductions. It's important to understand that the genetics for the cross that appeal to you may be recessive, so hybridizing with the seedlings can achieve the results you seek in subsequent generations.
The pod parent is our True Sadness--never released. Some new fans do not show broken color so it will likely never be released. Those that do show it do so every bloom, and these are the ones we make seeds with.
Pollen is from Harris' Whiskey Glasses.
The winner will receive a bonus of extra seeds of this cross as longas payment is received within 10 days of auction close. Please do not bid if you cannot pay promptly. Check, money order or PayPal for USA and Canada. All other International bidders--PayPal only.Shipping is $5 domestic--$17 to Canada and $20 to other countries. I have eaten the last few postal increases but now must raise the cost to reflect the real world--sorry!
All seeds being sent to the EU require a phyto. I do not understand the need for this regulation but I have to comply. I will absorb part of the expense for the phyto and only charge $15 if your auction wins total $100. Otherwise, the cost is $25.
We can hold seeds for a reasonable amount of time to save on shipping. However 2-3 months is not reasonable. It might be in your best interest to get your seeds promptly at my age with all my ailments LOL.
We cannot be responsible for seed shipments sent internationally unless you wish to pay for upgraded shipping such as Priority or Express mail. For more info about seeds, including germination tips, I strongly suggest that you see our "about me" page. If you follow our "moist chilling" suggestions on our "about me" page your germination rates should be much higher than whatever you are doing now. We get 95+% germination. This information is also available on the AHS portal.
