Inspiration for the cross - SO I GOOFED this season! I had both Northwood Dot Com and Crazy Lace in bloom at slightly different times, and both were new to the garden this year. Crazy Lace is in the top row of the 4-photo grid, and Northwood Dot Com is in the bottom. Both are light to white stipples, and well, at some point during my hybridizing I started using pollen from Crazy Lace and marking it as Northwood Dot Com. On the pollen side of my hybrids this year, most of the seeds marked as Northwood Dot Com could have been Crazy Lace. I didn't make the mistake going the other way, as anything I tagged as Crazy Lace I knew what I was using, and when it came to pod parents, there was no confusion at harvest time which was which. So...all that said, the bottom line is that in a fair amount of crosses, I may never really know which pollen was used, particularly if I remade the cross several times over the season, as I did with this one. As such, it's a slight mystery, and I'm offering the seeds at a bargain price given fact that it could be either pollen parent. Regardless of this mix-up, I think these are actually really nice seeds and the general concept of the cross is the same, whichever plant was actually used as the pollen donor! STIPPLES. It's that simple.

Winter 2023-2024 is our second season selling daylily seeds hybridized by Matt (dad) and Ethan (son) in our zone 4b (sometimes 3b) garden in Duluth, Minnesota, at the tip of Lake Superior! (we've been selling hosta seeds for a few years now)! We took good notes, had lots of help from fellow hybridizers, and we're excited to share what we've created this year!
All seeds are from the 2023 season unless otherwise noted. All photos are of our own plants unless otherwise noted (getting teeth to express this far north?!!)
All seeds air dried for at least 2 days, some many more. The first seeds from 2023 went into refrigeration on 9/27/22, and we are continuing to pack and store seeds at this time. We have done a meticulous job preparing these seeds, and they are sold as-is (again, see our About Me page for full terms). Please do not bid if you are uncomfortable with the information we've provided.
