THE FIRST OF THREE OFFERS I WILL BE MAKING ~ WATCH FOR THEM!!!
PRAYING HANDS is about 18" tall, and is an absolute upright plant, with narrow wavy leaves and edged in cream. This hosta looks great with groundcover growing underneath it, as you can see the Lamium 'Orchid Frost' at the top of the first photo. I also have it planted with Pulmonaria 'Bertram Anderson' (lungwort) and the spotted low growing leaves of the lungwort combined with the extreme vertical nature of PRAYING HANDS adds great texture to the garden bed. It is also used extensively as a container plant, but here in my cold 4b zone, it must be removed and planted in-ground to survive the winter.
Hosta of the Year for 2011, One of the most unique introductions to come along. Light lavender flowers will appear midsummer.
