TET Vanilla Fluff (New & Improved)
(Joiner, 1988)
Awards: AM 1995; HM 1992; IM 1996; LEP 1993
Description: Yes! Vanilla Fluff has been 'Tetrified'! Updated and modernized. Described as registered - 'Cream self', is woefully inadequate to describe this daylily, stunning in its simplicity. 'Fluff' has many hues of cream and looks like a melting scoop of French vanilla on a warm spring day. We acquired the plant from Joe Waldrop, but we are unsure of who performed the conversion. We are unaware of any other grower offering the Tet version of 'Fluff'. The Joiners are no longer hybridizing and selling daylilies. Add this one too your Joiner collection while available.
Details and Parentage: Height 34 in.(86 cm), bloom 6 in.(15 cm), season M, Dormant, TETRIPLOID, Very Fragrant, Double. (Ivory Cloud × sdlg)
Buying/Shipping: We'll ship this Spring. Foliage is emerging and growing so we can discuss shipping as soon feasible and when you're ready. You can request delayed shipment as late as mid-June. In Our Garden: We're a small 'hobby' garden in metro Atlanta, Georgia in USDA Zone 7b. (Diploid) 'Fluff' was bred here in Georgia in the coastal region (zone 8b). Foliage is well emerging growing, the plant emerges early from dormancy. Photos taken in our garden. No filters! Thank you for this opportunity to serve you!
Note to Hybridizers: For us, 'Fluff' is more fertile for pollen than pod, but pod parenting is possible if difficult.
